Rubberized Adhesive (RAX™) was developed to comply with the most recent version of the Canadian Standards Association standard CSA Z245.21-06 Systems A1 & A2. It offers a very good adhesion and provides excellent cathodic disbondment resistance and mechanical protection for 2-layer polyethylene pipe coatings. It is recommended for service conditions between -40°C and 65°C.
RUBBERIZED ADHESIVE FOR EXTERNAL PIPE COATING
The adhesive consists of a mixture of various rubbers, elastomers, polymers, resins, aliphatic hydrocarbons and fillers for the adhesion to and corrosion protection of steel line pipe.
The qualification of raw materials, purchasing, incoming raw materials quality control, blending temperature, sequence of adding the ingredients and respective time of mixing ingredients and lab testing of finished product are being monitored at all times in accordance with ISO 9001 Standard.
Each batch consists of 20,000 kilos and is tested, as specified by Table #2 of CSA Z245.21-06.
